Amy Touchette is a photographer based in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, who specializes in street portraits. Touchette has always used photography as a way of meeting people, and she was especially drawn to the residents of Bed-Stuy who foster the most inclusive feeling of community she has experienced in her 24 years of living in New York. While editing the book we focused on the reciprocity between the number of people depicted and how you relate to them in terms of intimacy.
