6 and 7 June 1943 at least 1296 children were deported to the concentration camp Sobibor in Poland. At the time, it was said that the children, ranging in age from just a few days to 17 years old, were being taken to a ‘children’s camp’ because Kamp Vught was too full. This exhibition marked the 68th anniversary of this occasion, and so, for the first time, gave attention  to this terrible event in the history of the SS concentration camp.
