The vision of the late Golden Age

The multi-talented, artist and chronicler of the late Golden Century Romeyn de Hooghe (1645-1708) made controversial news- and satirical cartoons and illustrated a wide range of books. Additionally, he produced wall and ceiling paintings as well as designing triumph arches, gardens, glass windows, trophies and medals.
